Overview

What is the QR Codes Module?

The QR Codes module allows users to be transferred to a defined place in the chatbot by scanning QR Codes.

Why use QR Codes?

From offline to online in a few seconds! Using a QR code is like using a specific referral link, with the difference that it brings traffic from the offline world to your chatbot. Create a dedicated code depending on the targeted source or segment. Place the code on any kind of product packaging, leaflet, or merchandising. Once the code is scanned, the chatbot automatically launches a predefined scenario that opens up in the user's Messenger inbox.

How to access QR Codes?

To access the QR Codes Module, navigate to Modules > QR Codes from the navigation bar.

Message and target group configuration

First, provide a Segment name (the name of the group of people that entered the chatbot via this QR Code). Make sure to use proper naming, as you can later target the very same group of people using the name provided.

Then choose whether the bot should respond with some custom, predefined content (Respond with message) or redirect the user to some module instance, for example, the Randomizer Module.

Depending on what you chose in the Answer type field above, you will see one of the following menus:

Respond with message - if you pick this option, you will see the Creator, where you can configure the content sent to users who enter the chatbot via this QR Code.

Go to module - in case of redirection to a previously set up module, you will be asked to choose which module instance is the point of entry for users entering the bot via the QR Code.

Getting a QR code

Save your changes and enter the QR Codes instance list again. You will see the code you have just configured and a button to download it. You can then print it, send it, and redistribute it however you like.
